USS KING REUNION NEWS & INFORMATION |
NORFOLK, VIRGINIA 2003
Our first reunion was held in June 2002 and was a huge success! The reunion, which was held in San Diego, consisted of more than 102 shipmates and 56 spouses and family members. We had a hospitality room open for all to meet on Thursday. Our first meeting of the USS King DLG10/DDG41 Association was held on Friday, a luau on Friday evening, ship tour on Sat. afternoon and a banquet on Saturday evening. We have a ships store with several items, like t-shirts, hats, pins, that can be purchased. Information about the Ships Store and Photos from the reunion are here.
The dates for our 2nd reunion are July 24 - 27th in Norfolk, VA. We need your help in locating more shipmates to make our 2nd reunion even better than the first. If you know of any emails or addresses that we do not have, please feel free to contact Steve Cuddihy or with this information.
We are also selling 30 minute videos of the KING from the early 1960’s at $20.00 dollars each. The money raised will be used to help contact 3000 - 4500 crewmembers. We need to sell 350 videos to raise enough money to mail letters to all former KINGSMAN. We are trying for a great turnout at the reunion.
