As to the events leading up to the explosion and fire; It was "businesss as usual" in the day-to-day operation of a man-of-war. The cause of the fire was a ruptured fuel line in the forward fireroom. Since I was not aboard at the time, maybe other shipmates will respond to you and provide additional detail.
